Disney Cruise Line is making a major change to its adults-only specialty dining experience. Beginning October 22, 2026, Palo, Palo Steakhouse, and Palo Trattoria will transition to an exclusively à la carte dinner menu, eliminating the prix fixe dinner option. The update also clarifies how Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club members can use their complimentary Palo dining benefit.
If you have a Disney cruise coming up, here’s what you need to know about the new Palo dinner menus, the $55 Castaway Club dining credit, and why Platinum and Pearl members will no longer be able to use this benefit toward brunch.
Disney Cruise Line Is Removing Palo’s Prix Fixe Dinner Menu
For years, Disney Cruise Line guests have had two options when dining at Palo, the adults-only specialty restaurant available aboard select ships: a prix fixe dinner menu with a set price or an à la carte menu that allows guests to order individual dishes.
The prix fixe dinner option, most recently priced at $55 per person, offered a multi-course dining experience at a predictable price. It was a popular choice for guests celebrating a special occasion or looking to enjoy an elevated dining experience during their Disney cruise.
That option is now being phased out across the fleet.
Beginning October 22, 2026, Disney Cruise Line will transition Palo dinner service to an exclusively à la carte menu. Guests will still be able to enjoy their favorite dishes, but the fixed-price, multi-course dinner option will no longer be available once the change takes effect on their ship.

When Will Disney Cruise Line’s Palo Menu Change Take Effect?
The transition will take place across the Disney Cruise Line fleet over several days.
Here is the announced rollout schedule:
- October 22, 2026: Disney Wonder
- October 23, 2026: Disney Fantasy, Disney Dream, and Disney Wish
- October 24, 2026: Disney Magic, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny
- October 26, 2026: Disney Adventure
The change applies to Palo, Palo Steakhouse, and Palo Trattoria, depending on the ship.
Guests sailing around these dates should check the dining options available for their specific sailing, as the transition may affect which dinner menu is offered onboard.
At this time, no corresponding changes have been announced for Palo brunch or the Prima Notte dining experience.
Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club Members Will Still Receive a $55 Palo Dining Credit
One of the most valuable perks of reaching Platinum or Pearl status in Disney Cruise Line’s Castaway Club loyalty program is the complimentary Palo dining benefit.
The good news? The benefit isn’t going away.
Eligible Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club members will continue to receive a $55-per-person credit toward eligible à la carte dinner selections at Palo, Palo Steakhouse, or Palo Trattoria.
The change is how that credit can be used.
Previously, eligible guests could apply the benefit toward the prix fixe dinner menu or use its equivalent value toward à la carte dishes. With the prix fixe option being eliminated, the $55 credit will apply exclusively to eligible à la carte dinner purchases.
If your meal costs more than $55 per person, you will be responsible for the remaining balance, along with applicable gratuities.
The benefit remains limited to one dining experience per stateroom, per sailing, and the eligible Castaway Club member must attend.
As always, guests should confirm the terms of their benefit for their specific sailing.

Can Platinum and Pearl Members Use Their Palo Credit for Brunch?
This is an important clarification for longtime Disney Cruise Line guests.
The Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club dining benefit is for dinner only, not brunch.
Although the benefit has been designated for dinner, some guests have previously reported being allowed to apply the credit toward Palo brunch at the discretion of the restaurant’s management.
Disney Cruise Line is now explicitly emphasizing that the $55 credit is restricted to dinner.
That means Platinum and Pearl members should not plan on using their complimentary dining benefit for Palo brunch on their next Disney cruise.
Palo brunch remains a separate specialty dining experience, but guests who want to enjoy it should be prepared to pay the applicable brunch price.
For cruisers who have traditionally used their loyalty perk for brunch instead of dinner, this is an important distinction to keep in mind when planning their onboard dining reservations.
What Does This Mean for Your Next Disney Cruise?
The elimination of the prix fixe dinner menu changes how guests can plan and budget for Palo, but it doesn’t mean the adults-only dining experience is disappearing.
Guests will still have the opportunity to enjoy Palo’s specialty dining offerings through its à la carte dinner menu. However, the final cost will depend on the individual dishes ordered rather than a fixed-price menu.
For Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club members, the $55 dinner credit remains a valuable loyalty perk. The biggest takeaway is to plan to use it for dinner rather than brunch.
If Palo is on your must-do list for an upcoming Disney cruise, consider reviewing your dining plans and reservations ahead of your sailing.
And if you’re a Platinum or Pearl member who has been saving that complimentary dining experience for Palo brunch, it may be time to reconsider your plans.
