Disney Believe Cruise Ship: First Look at the Newest Disney Cruise Line Ship
Disney Cruise Line fans have a new reason to believe in the magic of what’s coming next.
The Disney Believe is set to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet in late 2027, bringing a new collection of immersive venues, entertainment and experiences inspired by some of Disney’s most beloved stories.
The ship will feature new concepts influenced by films including Encanto, Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Moana and The Little Mermaid. Now, fans have their first look at some of the ship’s most highly anticipated details, including its Grand Hall and unique exterior artwork.
Disney Believe Grand Hall Inspired by Moana
One of the biggest new reveals is the Disney Believe’s Grand Hall, the ship’s central gathering space.
Like the Grand Halls aboard other Disney Cruise Line ships, the space will be designed around a beloved Disney story. For the Disney Believe, that story will be Moana.
The Grand Hall will capture the optimistic spirit of exploration found throughout the Moana films, incorporating influences from the South Pacific and Polynesian-inspired artistic details.
A bronze cast statue of Moana will serve as the focal point of the space, joined by her loyal companions Pua and Heihei. The trio will look toward new horizons, reinforcing the ship’s overarching theme of exploration, discovery and belief.
The design will also feature artisanal finishes inspired by the region and its cultural traditions, creating a Grand Hall that feels distinct from those found aboard other Disney Cruise Line ships.
Toy Story Characters Featured on the Disney Believe Stern
The Disney Believe will also continue Disney Cruise Line’s tradition of giving every new ship its own unique exterior character artwork.
For the stern, Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story will take center stage.
The larger-than-life sculptures will show Woody and Buzz working together to create the ship’s name across the back of the vessel using oversized yellow crayons.
The playful design will have a look inspired by the distinctive block-style lettering associated with Toy Story, giving the Disney Believe a fun and instantly recognizable appearance.
Tinker Bell to Adorn the Disney Believe Bow
The ship’s bow will feature another classic Disney character: Tinker Bell.
The artwork will be inspired by Tinker Bell’s original appearance in the 1953 animated classic Peter Pan. The hand-painted filigree design will feature Tinker Bell surrounded by silhouettes of Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook and other characters from the film.
The whimsical artwork will be incorporated into a swirling design across the bow, continuing Disney Cruise Line’s tradition of giving each ship a signature character-inspired bow design.
A Ship Built Around the Power of Believing
The Disney Believe’s design is centered around a simple but powerful theme: belief.
The ship will celebrate believing in magic, family, nature and yourself, with its venues, entertainment and storytelling connected by the idea of believing in something extraordinary.
From the Moana-inspired Grand Hall to the Toy Story stern and Tinker Bell bow, the ship’s designs are already giving guests a glimpse into how that theme will come to life throughout the vessel.
What Else Is Coming to the Disney Believe?
The Grand Hall and exterior artwork are just the beginning.
Disney Cruise Line has previously shared that the Disney Believe will introduce new venue concepts and entertainment experiences inspired by a variety of Disney stories. Guests can expect more details about the ship’s dining, entertainment, kids’ spaces, adults-only areas and other onboard experiences as construction continues.
The Disney Believe is scheduled to set sail in late 2027, adding another new chapter to the continued expansion of the Disney Cruise Line fleet.
