BIG Disney Cruise Line News From D23
There’s a lot on the horizon for Disney Cruise Line! The cruise line unveiled major plans for its future fleet, new itineraries and upcoming ships, including the highly anticipated Disney Believe.
From a growing fleet to more West Coast sailings, Disney Cruise Line is preparing for a major expansion over the next several years.
Here’s everything we know so far.

Disney Cruise Line Fleet Expanding to 13 Ships
Disney Cruise Line is set to expand its fleet to 13 ships by late 2030, marking one of the biggest periods of growth in the cruise line’s history.
The expansion will give guests even more opportunities to experience Disney Cruise Line, with new ships and itineraries planned for destinations around the world.
More Disney Cruises From Southern California
Disney Cruise Line is also expanding its presence on the West Coast.
The cruise line plans to double the number of cruises sailing from Southern California, bringing even more opportunities to sail from San Diego.
For West Coast Disney fans, this means more choices when it comes to planning a Disney cruise without having to travel to Florida or another major cruise port.

Major Disney Cruise Line Itinerary Changes Coming in Summer 2027
Summer 2027 will bring some exciting itinerary changes across the Disney Cruise Line fleet.
The Disney Wish will head to Europe, giving guests a chance to experience one of Disney Cruise Line’s newest ships while exploring European destinations.
Meanwhile, the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder will return to Alaska, bringing Disney Cruise Line guests back to one of the most scenic cruise destinations.
Introducing the Disney Believe
One of the biggest announcements is the Disney Believe, a brand-new Disney Cruise Line ship set to join the fleet in late 2027.
The ship will celebrate the idea of believing—in magic, in family, in the power of nature and, perhaps most importantly, in yourself.
As expected, Disney is incorporating beloved characters into the ship’s exterior and design in some seriously magical ways.

Tinker Bell Will Adorn the Bow
Tinker Bell will take center stage on the bow of the Disney Believe, adding a touch of pixie dust to the ship’s iconic exterior.

Woody and Buzz Lightyear on the Stern
The stern will feature two beloved Toy Story characters: Woody and Buzz Lightyear.
The larger-than-life characters will help give the Disney Believe its own unique personality while celebrating some of Disney and Pixar’s most recognizable characters.

Moana Takes Center Stage in the Grand Hall
Inside the ship, Moana will be the centerpiece of the Disney Believe’s Grand Hall.
The space is expected to serve as one of the ship’s major gathering areas, with Moana’s story helping bring the themes of nature, courage and self-belief to life.

A New Disney Cruise Line Ship Class Is Coming in 2029
Disney Cruise Line also revealed plans for an entirely new class of ship debuting in 2029.
This new class will be sized between Disney’s classic ships and its newer Wish-class vessels, creating another option within the growing Disney Cruise Line fleet.
The announcement gives Disney Cruise Line fans even more to look forward to as the fleet continues to grow.
The Future of Disney Cruise Line Is Getting Bigger
Between new ships, expanded itineraries and more departures from the West Coast, Disney Cruise Line has a lot planned for the next several years.
With the fleet expected to reach 13 ships by late 2030, the debut of the Disney Believe, a new ship class arriving in 2029 and major itinerary changes beginning in 2027, Disney Cruise Line is entering an exciting new era.
