There is still time to plan a magical getaway in 2026, and families can save up to 25% on select Disney Cruise Line holiday sailings. From tropical Caribbean escapes to Mexican Riviera adventures, these seasonal cruises combine the excitement of a Disney vacation with the sights, sounds, and traditions of the holidays.
Celebrate Christmas With Disney Magic at Sea
Disney Cruise Line transforms select sailings into festive winter wonderlands, bringing holiday cheer to the ships with sparkling decorations, seasonal entertainment, and special experiences for guests of all ages.
Imagine stepping aboard to discover a magnificent Christmas tree, twinkling lights, and festive décor throughout the ship. Throughout your sailing, you’ll find opportunities to celebrate the season with your favorite Disney friends while making memories with the people who matter most.
One of the highlights of a Very Merrytime Cruise is Mickey & Minnie’s Merrytime Tree Lighting. Join Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their friends for a heartwarming celebration as the ship’s holiday tree lights up. It’s a wonderful way to kick off the festivities and create a family memory you’ll treasure long after your vacation ends.
Other holiday highlights may include:
- Mickey & Minnie’s Holiday Party: Celebrate with festive music, cheerful entertainment, and beloved Disney Characters.
- Seasonal Character meet-and-greets: Meet some of your favorite Disney friends dressed in their holiday best.
- A visit with Santa: Share your holiday wishes and capture a special seasonal photo.
- Holiday crafts and activities: Enjoy festive fun designed to bring families together.
- Dazzling holiday decorations: Take in the sparkling lights, a towering Christmas tree, and even a giant gingerbread house on select ships.
Holiday offerings vary by ship and itinerary, but the result is the same: a Disney vacation with an extra dose of Christmas magic.
Everything You Love About a Disney Cruise, With Holiday Cheer
The seasonal celebrations are only part of the experience. A Disney cruise also gives families the opportunity to enjoy an incredible vacation without having to plan every detail of every day.
From Broadway-style live shows and deck parties to imaginative kids’ clubs and themed rotational dining, there is something for everyone aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship. Kids can discover activities designed just for them, while parents can enjoy entertainment, relaxation and quality time together.
Guests can also enjoy Disney’s signature service, character experiences and thoughtfully designed spaces throughout the ship. Depending on the itinerary, your vacation may include visits to beautiful Caribbean or Bahamian destinations, including Disney’s island destinations, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Best of all, you can spend your days exploring new destinations and your evenings enjoying the festive atmosphere onboard. It’s a holiday vacation that blends relaxation, adventure, and Disney magic in one unforgettable getaway.

Why the Holidays Are a Wonderful Time to Cruise
The holiday season can be one of the busiest times of the year, filled with shopping, cooking, decorating, and coordinating family schedules. A Disney cruise offers a different way to celebrate: let someone else handle much of the planning while you focus on making memories together.
Instead of worrying about preparing a holiday meal or organizing every activity, you can enjoy festive dining, onboard entertainment and family adventures in one convenient vacation. Select Thanksgiving sailings also feature traditional holiday meals, festive décor and live football broadcasts, bringing familiar traditions onboard.
For families looking to escape colder weather, select holiday itineraries offer the added appeal of sunny destinations, beautiful beaches and time outdoors. And for Disney fans, the combination of favorite Characters, holiday-themed entertainment and the unmistakable Disney attention to detail makes this time of year particularly special.
Whether you’re planning a family getaway, a multigenerational vacation or a holiday trip with friends, a Very Merrytime Cruise offers a memorable way to celebrate the season together.
Is It Too Late to Book a 2026 Disney Holiday Cruise?
Not necessarily! With select holiday sailings still available, now is a great time to explore your options for the remainder of 2026. However, holiday cruises are popular, and the best combination of itinerary, stateroom, and price may become harder to find as departure dates approach.
If you’re considering a Thanksgiving getaway or hoping to enjoy the festive atmosphere of a December sailing, start exploring your options as soon as possible. A knowledgeable Disney cruise travel advisor can help you compare available sailings, understand current promotions, and determine which cruise best fits your family’s vacation goals.

There’s something special about celebrating the holidays with Disney, and a Very Merrytime Cruise brings that magic to the high seas.
